About the Place
Based on the idea to create a multiples publisher and store, Gabinete intends to promote the creation of serial publications. In the search for a setting that steered away from the art gallery model and constituted itself more like a store, it finds its shelter in the Príncipe Real area. A store that had already been the typography of the Correio da Manhã newspaper and the production headquarters of the Cá Se Faz theatre company, it is currently a venue dedicated to Art, contemporary creators and collecting. Its interior is configured as a store open to the street, inviting us into a space that is essentially structured around large mirrored tables on which artistic work is exhibited. Besides publishing and promoting art multiples in exclusive and limited runs, Gabinete also gathers the uses of exhibition and presentation of artistic projects.
