Located in the hill of Quinta de Marrocos, its exterior image is iconic and recognizable, structured in five elongated volumes of different lengths. Divided by staircases, these blocks end in a cylindrical volume topped by terraces, which allow for a harmonious relationship with its green surroundings. The simple geometry, of pure forms, gives place, on the inside, to a strong gathering of light that grants it an energy of its own, where each sequence of spaces finds its formal and functional vocation. The exterior suggests an image of apparent geometric rigidity, contrasting with an interior where it is subverted by the linear walkways ending with the introduction of diagonals, as well as the spiral staircases vertically limited by inclined skylights. In 1982, the quality of this school was distinguished when it was a Honorable Mention of the Valmor Prize.
