About this event
This still young area of the city was originally conceived to host the World Exposition of 1998, leaving an urban legacy for the future on the site that was home to a dump and decaying industrial facilities next to the Tagus Estuary. It has become a new hub for offices, residential buildings and important facilities, and an example for the whole country of city building with generous public spaces and emblematic structures. This tour follows a route that provides insight into the site as a whole, as well as some of its most significant elements – be they exceptional or even standard works of architecture that fit into the programming, or streets, squares and gardens.
