I just ate the living room

Workshop

Sunday 14h30  Plus

'I just ate the living room' uses pastry — as Marie-Antoine Carême once declared, "The noblest of all arts is architecture, and its greatest manifestation is the pastry chef's art" — to challenge participants to recreate architectural spaces from their own homes. The goal is simple: to test the imagination and the limits of architectural experience, bringing it to the palate. What does coming home on a rainy afternoon taste like? And the kitchen on a warm, sunny day? Or the children's bedroom on a Saturday morning? Over 120 minutes, sensations, experiences and memories are discussed. Flavours and materials, affinities and dialogues are explored. Recipes are designed — literally, using the tools and methods of architecture — then put to the test, hands in the dough.
